Synopsis
Marine Base Synopsis In the violent waterfront slums of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, 14-year-old Tobi arrives from Diobu looking for his aunt, but he is beaten and murdered by members of the Iceland gang, who suspect him to be a Greenland member. Sokari "National" George, a powerful local figure who rules the area with an iron fist, forces the two lieutenants of the warring gangs, Stepper and Tonye, to fight to the death in retribution for Tobi's death, as per the neighborhood's wishes. Tonye wins and takes up Stepper's post as the gang's new executioner, killing him during the fight. Ordinary teenage best friends Milo and Ajemina waste their days playing football and bantering about the game, but when they are forcibly rounded up and initiated into the rival Greenland gang, their carefree existence is shattered. Milo is forced to use a cutlass to save Ajemina during a vicious trial that tests the loyalty of inductees and is shocked by his violent nature and the feeling of blood on his hands during the fight. As the gangs' war intensifies, Milo and Ajemina are thrust into the heart of the conflict. Milo hesitates during a hits mission, resulting in Ajemina being shot and killed. Milo is kidnapped by influential politicians who convince him to help them kill Greenland's Point One by poisoning his food, but the attempt fails to kill Point One directly, but triggers a retaliatory shooting at the taxi park as Milo tries to flee the city with his mother but stray bullets finish off his mother, leaving him to wander the streets with her bleeding body, trapped in the tragedy and violence he desperately tried to escape.
