KOJ Studios ("we", "us", "our") operates kojstudios.com and learn.kojstudios.com (the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

• Name, email address and phone number when you create an account or submit a booking
• Payment information processed securely through Paystack
• Project submissions, applications and messages you send through the Platform
• Film pitch submissions including title, logline, synopsis, budget range, location, and roles needed
• Your preferred visibility setting for pitch submissions (Private, KOJ-Assisted, or Public)
• Your Clerk user ID, which may be stored alongside pitch submissions when you are signed in
• Job application information including CV details, portfolio links and cover letters you provide
• Usage data and analytics to improve the Platform

Team Workspace Data

If you are a KOJ Studios team member, additional data is collected through the internal Team Workspace, including:

• Messages and group conversations within the workspace messaging system
• File attachments sent in messages, which are uploaded and stored on Bunny.net CDN
• Activity logs recording task assignments, project updates and team actions
• Availability status, job title, department and profile information
• Meeting notes, reports and task records created within the workspace

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Process bookings and payments
• Communicate with you about your projects and enquiries
• Review and respond to film pitch submissions
• Process project applications and match applicants with open roles
• Send transactional email notifications about your pitch status, application updates, and bookings
• Send platform updates and relevant notifications (you may opt out at any time)
• Improve our services and platform experience
• Comply with legal obligations

Pitch Submission Visibility

When you submit a film pitch, you choose a visibility setting that determines how it may be used:

• Private — your submission is reviewed internally by KOJ Studios only and is not shared publicly
• KOJ-Assisted — KOJ Studios may actively develop or support the project, with your information remaining internal
• Public — if approved, the project may be listed on the public KOJ Studios projects board, visible to collaborators

Your contact information (name, email, phone) is never shared publicly regardless of visibility setting.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with row-level security. Authentication is handled by Clerk. Payment data is processed by Paystack and is never stored directly on our servers. File attachments uploaded through the team workspace are stored on Bunny.net CDN with access-controlled delivery. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

• Clerk (authentication and user management)
• Supabase (database and row-level security)
• Paystack (payment processing)
• Bunny.net (media storage, CDN delivery, and file attachment hosting)
• Resend (transactional email notifications)
• Google Gemini (AI features)

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time. You can manage most of your data through your account dashboard. To request deletion of pitch submissions, job applications, or team workspace data, contact us at hello@kojstudios.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and platform functionality. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to third parties.
